frequently asked questions
You'll soon be coming to the Lac du Causse campsite and gîtes and you're probably wondering: how do I get there? What activities are on offer? What methods of payment are available? If you haven't found the answers to these questions, this page should help! If not, please contact us!
To get to Le Causse, you have several options: check out the trains to Brive la Gaillarde or the planes to Brive Vallée de la Dordogne airport. From Brive SNCF station or the airport, you can book a taxi on 05 55 24 24 24 to come to the Camping du Lac du Causse.
You can also check carpools or buses on one of the dedicated websites that serve the town of Brive la Gaillarde, just a few kilometres from the Campsite.
Accommodation is available from 4pm. For pitches, this depends on the season:
Are you planning to arrive later?
Accommodation is vacated at 10am on the day of departure. You are asked to make an appointment with reception beforehand to check out.
There are 2 swimming pools open from 15 June to 15 September: at the campsite (below reception) and at the self-catering village (on the right). The pools are open every day from 10am to 9pm. However, please note that the 2 pools are not supervised.
WIFI is free only at the campsite reception. There is a small outdoor terrace next to the swimming pool where you can use the free connection to check your emails or organise the activities for your stay.
Alternatively, you can pay for a WIFI subscription for the duration of your stay via our service provider: Osmozis. Getting connected couldn't be easier: select the "Camping lac du Causse" network(if you're staying at the campsite) or the "gîtes de Lissac" network(if you're staying at the gîtes) and buy your package online. An email will then be sent to you with your login details.
Barbecues are available at the campsite(ecolodge area and chalets) and in the gîte village (Muzac room). We ask our customers to respect these places of conviviality and touse the barbecues at reasonable times so as not to disturb all our customers.
Our 4-legged friends are welcome on the campsite and in the accommodation (excluding Glamping) and in the self-catering village. We do, however, ask you to keep them on a lead and to pick up after them (litter picks are available at reception). Only one pet per accommodation.
There are a number of markets close to the campsite and the Lac du Causse gîtes where you can sample local, seasonal produce all year round:
In the summer, the local farmers' markets take place in the evenings! You can come and do your shopping here too, and enjoy your food on the spot! Musical entertainment and conviviality are the order of the day at these markets, which are a great success every year! The one closest to the campsite takes place every Wednesday evening in July and August at Chartrier Ferrière.
