Beaches, calm waters, nature... Welcome to Lac du Causse! The place to be near Brive: swimming, water sports, hiking, geocaching, restaurants or just relaxing... at Lac du Causse, you'll love it all!
And that's just as well, because from the campsite you have direct access to the lake and its surrounding hiking trail. With a surface area of 7 km, it's accessible to everyone and free to use all year round. As the seasons change, the lake comes alive and offers its visitors national, international and sometimes even world sporting competitions(rowing, open water swimming, triathlon, etc.).
In summer, the lake comes alive with yoga sessions, various activities for children, night-time shows... not to mention the guinguettes that take place every Sunday evening! And you won't know the best bit: all these activities are free!
If you're coming to spend a few days at Lac du Causse, you won't want to miss out on the various walks and mountain bike rides on offer around the campsite! There are almost a dozen on offer, and you can start by walking around the lake (7 km ), which is accessible to young and old alike - allow around 1? hours .
The Causse offers a wide range of sporting and family activities.
Around Lac du Causse, between Plage des Peupliers and Plage du Moulin, there are plenty of tables where you can enjoy a picnic with your feet (almost) in the water! In summer, you'll also find a number of food-trucks in this area, where you can get something to eat or drink at any time of day.
Next to the moulin, the Bar du chemin is open every day in summer, serving cold drinks, ice creams and aperitifs when the sun starts to fall. There are also 2 pétanque courts and boules available for a game at any time of day.
During July and August, the lake becomes the playground of Brive Tourisme's entertainment department.
